About the Recipe

This comforting smoothie supports digestion and blood sugar balance while satisfying sweet cravings with whole-food ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 green apple, peeled, cored and chopped

  • 2 tbsps almond butter

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ tsps ground cinnamon

  • Can be sweetened with several drops organic liquid stevia or monk fruit (Lakanto) to taste, if desired

  • nutmeg (optional), to taste as garnish

  • Small handful of ice (optional)

  • 1 to 2 scoops 100% grass fed whey protein powder or other 100% single ingredient protein powder or collagen peptides (optional) > for a more filling option.

Preparation

Add ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.

Substitutions

• Use pear instead of apple
• Add collagen peptides for protein support
